MILITARY UNMANNED GROUND VEHICLES (UGVS) HAVE BECOME ESSENTIAL COMPONENT HARDWARE IN COMBAT ZONES AROUND THE WORLD.

The North Defence UGV is built for the last mile of the modern battlefield. Engineered from the ground up in Steinsel, it combines autonomous "follow me" logistics with counter-UAS capability, giving forces a platform that carries the load, watches the sky and keeps soldiers out of the line of fire.

LUXEMBOURG X UNITED KINGDOM

Mission Ready

The UGV brings together every requirement of tactical ground autonomy into a single platform under three metres long. From carrying over 1,000kg of squad equipment to providing silent, sensor-powered overwatch without the engine running, every detail has been engineered to reduce the burden on troops and maximise effect in the field. When the mission calls, the UGV answers.

FOLLOW ME, BY DESIGN

Autonomous leader-follower functionality tethers the UGV electronically to a soldier or lead vehicle, freeing hands and reducing fatigue on the move. Waypoint navigation and denied-GPS operation mean it keeps pace whatever the terrain or conditions.

COUNTER-UAS, BUILT IN

Developed to work in tandem with North Defence's counter-UAS armoured vehicles, the UGV adds a layer of protection against the fastest-growing threat on the modern battlefield, without adding a separate platform to manage.

THE LIFE-CELL

An internal, armoured cavity running the length of the wheelbase gives commanders a choice: extra battery capacity for extended range and silent watch, or a protected space for emergency casualty extraction. One chassis, two missions.

Ready for Anything

Compact

At under 3,000mm and 1,600mm wide, two units fit inside a standard shipping container or air transport pallet, and the platform is narrow enough for forest trails and tight urban streets alike. Small enough to deploy anywhere, capable enough to matter once it's there.

Agile

Four-wheel steering gives the UGV a tight turning radius for confined spaces and a crab-walk mode that lets it strafe sideways into cover without exposing its flank. Combined with 300mm of ground clearance and a 61-degree approach angle, it goes where wheeled platforms usually can't.

Versatile

Full EV, full diesel or diesel-electric hybrid drivetrains mean the same platform can be configured for rapid short-range response, long-range operation or near-silent stealth movement. The flatbed takes a remote weapon station, a Slinger system or a telescopic ISTAR mast, all on the same deck.

Deployable

Air-droppable with integrated rigging points, light enough for heli-sling transport, and small enough for a straightforward trailer drop, the UGV is built to arrive by whichever route the mission demands.

Built on a foundation of Luxembourg manufacturing expertise and developed to NATO operational standards, the UGV is more than a cargo carrier. It is a complete rethink of what an unmanned ground platform can do - compact enough for forest trails, agile enough for urban terrain, and versatile enough to switch between logistics, kinetic support and casualty extraction.

In modern operations, the last mile is often the most dangerous. The UGV delivers the autonomy, protection and adaptability that fast-moving situations demand, engineered and manufactured in Luxembourg to the highest NATO standards.
