North Defence is proud to showcase new product development releases due for 2026, with a cost-effective Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) and light tactical assault and reconnaissance vehicles (LTVs) planned for launch in the coming six months.
With the ongoing success of the North Defence light mobility vehicle (LMV) range, driven by front-line battlefield feedback; ongoing requests for UGVs and LTVs have formed the foundation for the creation of our own range, including essential modern battlefield technology learned and developed from elite front-line military personnel feedback.
The North Defence LTV has been developed using a Ford Ranger chassis, giving the ability to maximise capacity and rely on standardised OEM spare part supply. In addition, dedicated electric drive functions can be switched on for complete stealth operations.

Modular storage systems can incorporate troops’ equipment alongside intelligent fuel and water storage. Weapon mounts are fitted as standard alongside auxiliary power systems to provide essential power to charge battery operated military hardware such as drones.
A composite armoured bonnet and windshield can be specified to provide protection from the line of fire, with additional mission-specific armoured modules able to be added.
The UGV will be based on an original North Defence chassis to maximise mission-specific functionality. Modular mission systems will be interchangeable to provide a hybrid of casualty evacuation, and combat and logistic functionality. Intelligent ‘follow me’ and AI functions will be incorporated with safeguards and ultimate control with the military operator.

The new developments signal significant ambition and intent from North Defence, as one of the defence industry’s most agile, reactive and capable vehicle manufacturers. The UGV and LTV will be unveiled by North Defence teams alongside military personnel in the coming 6 months.
