Chief Engineer, Luke Homewood, has been promoted into the role of Chief Technical Officer with immediate effect.
North Defence’s growth trajectory has matured significantly since Luke’s arrival to the firm in 2025, with his engineering prowess proving instrumental in our recent surge of technical advancements. And with a continued influx of new design engineering appointments, from some of the defence industry’s largest manufacturers, we are proud to announce Mr Homewood as our CTO tasked with harnessing our growing engineering power.
Luke Homewood, CTO, commented on his promotion to the board: “North Defence represents everything I’ve wanted to be part of in the defence industry – innovative, disruptive and ambitious, with integrity at the core of every decision.
“The relentless desire and focus to be the best at what we do, for the right reasons, alongside the most positive culture I’ve ever worked with, gives North Defence a far higher purpose than a ‘normal’ arena. To be promoted to the board fills me with pride and motivates to continue our exponential increase in capable and relevant battlefield technology.”
North Defence founder and CEO, Oliver North, added: “Luke is without question, the most talented engineer I’ve had the pleasure of working with, and I’ve been fortunate to have worked with some truly world-class engineers over the past 25 years.
“And as the great phrase goes – ‘hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard’. Fortunately, Luke is undeniably the hardest working engineer I’ve met, too. His relentless work ethic, talent and high level of skill, alongside his positive and personable style, made him the perfect fit to the board.”
Luke joins Oliver North, CFO – Inga Morkunaite and Chief of Staff – Rory Wilde on the board at North Defence, and will continue his current brief leading the growing and talented engineering department whilst calibrated in-full at board level.
