North Defence founder and CEO, Former Royal Engineer, Oliver North, left the military in 2004 after a successful and enjoyable seven years of service.

Following four years of civilian employment, he created North Fire Limited in 2008. The company grew exponentially in terms of revenue, team and reputation, and subsequently attracted acquisition from the firefighting industry’s global leader. North Fire successfully created new concepts of civil defence technology that changed operational response.

Oliver North then led an industry turnaround with a large emergency vehicle manufacturer, in-turn reacting and playing significant roles to support British government through the pandemic and then its response and support of Ukraine. Following the evolution of its defence vehicle technology – through necessity – and subsequent production demands, the North Defence brand came to life, with the same team passionately evolving the company’s range under Oliver’s leadership.

Having grown up in France working on vehicles from a young age, Luke turned his childhood passion into a successful engineering career.

In 2016, he joined Horiba Mira, where he worked on their List X projects, developing specialised vehicles for military applications. Following his time there, he joined an up-and-coming EV startup, helping it grow into one of the UK’s most prominent tech unicorns.
After lending his expertise to multiple companies throughout Europe and the UAE, Luke joined North Defence as CTO. Today, he leads the growth and evolution of North Defence's future vehicle programs, driving innovation across multiple advanced platforms.

After completing her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Lithuania, Inga moved to the UK to continue her professional development.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant while working in practice, building a strong technical foundation in financial reporting and advisory.

Inga later joined one of the Big Four firms (EY), where she spent two years working on complex audits and strengthening her expertise in governance, compliance, and financial control. She then moved into industry, holding senior finance roles across several manufacturing and engineering businesses in the UK, including Portakabin, developing extensive experience in financial reporting, project accounting, and strategic financial planning for large-scale operational environments.

In 2025, Inga joined North Defence, where she now leads the financial oversight of the group’s operations in both the UK and Luxembourg. As CFO, she oversees budgeting, financial governance, and commercial strategy for defence and civil service projects, ensuring strong financial control while supporting the company’s international growth.

Outside of work, Inga enjoys the equally challenging role of raising her energetic four-year-old son, who keeps her just as busy as the world of finance.
