North Defence S.a.r.l. proudly launched its new Luxembourg headquarters on 16th October, visited and inspected by Luxembourg’s Directorate of Defence, led by Defence Minister, Her Excellency, Yuriko Backes.

The first batch of Ukraine-bound North Defence light mobility vehicles were also presented and inspected at the high profile event which was attended by North Defence’s new team, the Directorate of Defence’s senior leadership, and Luxembourg’s press. In addition, the first three of six air crash trucks were also on show, also destined for Ukraine as part of Luxembourg’s unwavering support for the country.
During the ceremony, H.E. Ms Backes, spoke of the positive economic benefit to the Luxembourg tax payers of upscaling Luxembourg’s defence industrial sector, whilst achieving essential new defence spend targets – all within Luxembourg, whilst driving higher employment and a higher subsequent use of local supply chains.

North Defence CEO, Oliver North, followed by highlighting the reasoning behind selecting Luxembourg for the company’s new headquarters and production, including the high calibre of people, exceptional and transparent compliance regulations, and excellent transport infrastructure.
Following the event, in an interview with RTL, North Defence’s CEO, Oliver North commented: “Our new Luxembourg facility will commence production of non-armoured light mobility vehicles as part of our ‘phase one switch on’, with production and administrative teams being recruited en masse to strengthen the EU footprint, capability and capacity.
“The reasoning behind turning on our production facility and HQ here is self-explanatory: the country is an exceptional one, with some of Europe’s most talented people within it. The infrastructure, transport and accessibility to the remainder of the EU, whilst sat here in the heart of it, all contributes to our choice to commence operations here in this great country.
“We now have a very serious obligation to fly the Luxembourg flag to the highest level of quality, integrity and professionalism.”
